Please say you accept Medicare for Transgender MTF Vaginoplasty

I am a Transgender woman.  I am interested in SRS male to female vaginoplasty surgery and you came highly recommended.  I hope that you also accept Medicare for Payment?  I am 65 Yrs old, in good health, have letters of recommendation from my Psychiatrist and GP, as well as, having been on hormones for over a year, and in therapy for over a year now.  My name and Gender have been legally changed (including birth certificate), I am also living full time.  Side note, I am married and have been for 42 years and my wife is very accepting, so I have support.  I am on Medicare and have a Plan G medicare supplement.  PLEASE say you accept Medicare.  If so, what do I need to do to meet you and get on your schedule, I would love to have the surgery in late summer early fall.  Connie   PS.  Will I be lubricated down there?

Dear Connie,

While we are not contracted providers with Medicare, the excellent regional University based hospital we work at is, so that amounts to a 50%^ reduction in our fee.  Please confer with other transgender surgeons to get your best deal.  A good deal is an experienced transgender surgeon, affordable out of pocket expenses, and ease of accessibility to the transgender surgeon of your choice.

Transgender vaginal lubrication varies from patient to patient.  Supplementation with oral sex or KY jelly may be required.  In your age group, even natal women may find this helpful.
