Orchiectomy with scrotal removal

is surprisingly a frequently requested procedure.  For men who are not clearly transsexual, a letter of psychiatric clearance is required and if married a notarized letter from their wife granting approval  is posted in their records.    All are informed that there are many anti testosterone (blockers)  available which pharmacologically may have the same effect, but whereas for some transgendered the removal of all or a part of external genitalia satisfies a psychological need, regardless of whether or not the patient is asexual, the same can be said for this category of men.  My personal opinion is that deep down there are common underlying psychodynamic streams which nurture both psyches.

Today we did want amounts to the first part of a scrotal vaginoplasty.  Removal of scrotal skin  and subsequent orchiectomy, bringing the margins together in the midline.   The patient was discharged quite comfortably with his wife in attendance and I’ll be seeing him at the Whitehouse (Inn on the Bay) in the morning.

  1. will i still be able too get hard when i want too with my wife after an operation to remove my scrotum and testicles because they have been hurting me since the age of 16 @ an accident. The doctors wanted to remove them at the time because they were at the point of rupturing but my mother would not let them proceed.

  3. Hello Dr. Reed,

At my age and financial capability, I have opted for an Orchiectomy with a scrotum removal. Are there any problems in healing with a scrotum removal for someone who is above average health for being 60 years old?

There is a good chance this may be the last surgery I can afford, however if I did have the money and didn’t care about depth, could I still get a vaginoplasty, if I had the scrotum removed?

Please let me say that you and your net work have been a great solace for many of the T-girls contemplating surgery. You a beacon in the sea.

    sincerely,
    Michelle G.
