Sounds like you are well on your way. I am a New Yorker, and graduated from the University of Rochester, went to Upstate Medical School in Syracuse and certainly remember visiting the Steuben glassworks in Corning, and a great Italian spaghetti and meatball lunch in a small restaurant in Corning, many years ago.
Also remember my brother sticking his finger in a wind pipe in the front of a glider at Elmira airport and for a few moments had trouble getting it out.
