Why we do not accept insuance for transgender surgery
Hello I am a M to F transgendered person, and I have my letters for surgery , but the cost is the killer. Do you know of any insurance companies that cover this operation? I’m having all kinds of trouble finding work because of my condition, and it creates social awkwardness when like at traffic stops cops see my I.D which as M on it but I look and sound clearly as female most the time they think its a fake I.D then I have to wait for them to call it in and stuff then I have to explain to them why it is the way it is , and its horrible.
I know most places consider it cosmetic but I swear I got to get something done this is killing me.

We do not accept insurance because they pay about 20 cents on the dollar.

Hi,There was a recent court ruling regarding the IRS and deductions for this surgery. Chek it out,it might be tax deductible.
