Does the Reed Centre have a sliding scale for transgender surgery?

Dr. Reed, My therapist in Tampa has a sliding scale meaning indigent or near indigent clients don’t pay as much.  Do you have a similar program sliding scale for male to female transgender surgery patients at the Reed Centre?  Janice

Dear Janice,

Yes, we do have a sliding scale for male to female transgender patients.  Our first priority to is help you with your transition and make you happy you’ve chosen to have your transgender male to female surgery at the Reed Centre.

Equally important is patient safety and patient compliance with our pre-op and post-op instructions.  Expect that your visit here will last about 10 days.  The first day is a pre-op visit, surgery the next day, and then allow an other 8 days or so for post-op care.  You will need a female friend or relative to be with you.

Our independent contractors, nurses and anesthesia are paid at the time services are rendered. For these reasons you are looking at a minimal outlay of $7,000.  This does not include the fee for surgery on which we can be flexible.  Yet, I think if you compare this figure to what other transgender surgery centers are charging, you’ll conclude this should provide for an affordable vaginoplasty.  Start out by requesting information about our facility by sending an Email to reed@srsMiami.com.  Do provide your full name, city, state, and phone number. Emails are returned several times a day.

Do look at before and after transgender vaginoplasty pictures on our web-site srsMiami.com  Hope you like what you see.

Cordially,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.
