Dr. Reed, I am a transgendered woman and live in Oklahoma. I am hoping you can do a so called one stage vaginoplasty. Your fees are very affordable but getting time off from work requires some planning, and of course there’s the cost savings.
Last year we have shifted to one stage MTF vaginoplasty. This is not to imply you will have a perfect result the first time around without a need for a touch up. But we intend to do the labiaplasty with labia minora during the initial surgery. Your responsibility is to have good height weight confirmation, use the ring pillow for 5 weeks when sitting, lest your torso weight split a part of the incision line. Most important, use the vaginal dilators as recommended 3 times a day or wear a soft vaginal stent retained by your undergarments. Think support panties.
Hand held mirrors are on the counter in the exam room, and when we remove the vaginal packing on the 7th post-operative day, patients and their loved ones seem generally very pleased. Please see before and after vaginoplasty photos on our web-site srsMiami.com
