Had a transgender vaginoplasty and hear the term “camel toe”

Dr. Reed, Should I have a camel toe appearance after male to female transgender surgery?  Brooklyn

Dear Brooklyn,

The term camel toe is used to describe labial cleavage which could be seen if a natal female is wearing shorts with a high crouch.  Some people love to display cleavage top and bottom. If a natal woman is standing, the labia majora, joined at the anterior commissure, diverge at or under the pubic bone.  Occasionally we seen male to female transgender patients with high divergence who wish revision, because the appearance is not entirely natural.

This can be corrected leaving a vertical midiline incision which usually heals imperceptibly or acceptably.

Please visit lour web-site srsMiami.com for before and after male to female vaginoplasty pictures.

Cordially,
