How soon can you do my MTF transgender Orchiectomy

Thank you for your interest in what we do, several orchiectomies every month. More information and photo can be seen on http://srsmiami.com/orchiectomy   We remove both testes via a singular 1″ vertical midline incision which permits high ligation of the cord,   No tootsie roll.

Among the advantages are the feminzing effects, discontinuation of a testosterone blocker and reduction of estrogens by a third.

Our affordable orchiectomy procedure is an independent procedure that can be performed for those who wish to eliminate testosterone surge and achieve some degree of secondary feminization without complete penectomy and vaginoplasty.  Mention should be made that there are medical (non-surgical) ways to achieve the same effect hormonally.  At least you may wish to have a clinical trial with these methods to see if this is really for you.

Among the advantages are the feminzing effects, discontinuation of a testosterone blocker and reduction of estrogens by a third.

As this is an irreversible procedure, 2 letters of therapy clearance are required. You may consider sperm banking beforehand.

One therapist (psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker, sexologist) must have a doctoral degree, and one of the two therapists must know the patient for an extended period of time. Conceivably one of the two therapists can satisfy the requirements for a doctoral degree and knowing the patient for an extended period of time. Consideration may be given to sperm banking prior to orchiectomy.

Pre-op lab is also required. Fee to include orchiectomy, local anesthesia with IV sedation, and followup care as provided by the Reed Centre.

Fee : $2,500.

For those patients who wish simultaneous removal of scrotum, please add an additional $1,500 to the orchiectomy fee.

Below is a photo of such a patient.

Cordially,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.
The Reed Centre for Transgender Surgery – Miami

Orchiectomy Example 2: Another patient status post orchiectomy and scrotal removal, unsure if she was ever capable of going all the way. P.S. she now wishes to have complete MTF and loss of scrotum poses no problem whatsoever. Hoping to post followup photos in a few months.

Patient requests removal of testes (orchiectomy) and removal of scrotum as well
