Male Female Surgery (MTF) Male to Female Gender Reassignment Surgery (GRS)
The goal of male female surgery is to provide an aesthetically attractive and functional result which permits effortless intromission with lubrication and full orgasmic potential. This means crafting a vaginal vault of sufficient depth, a sensate and hooded clitoris, good labial cleavage with a moist vulva, a pleasing labia majora with a defined anterior and posterior commissure, and some semblance of labia minora whenever possible. Stents of graduated sizes maintain what was originally accomplished in the operating room, and can provide additional depth when employed gently and persistently during recovery. At this time the tissues are still pliable.
The provision of a clitoral hood and conjugation of the anterior labia majora, revision of unsightly scars, readjustment of the urethral opening, removal of possible urethral spongiosum rest is accomplished during the second stage in addition to what is generally termed “labiaplasty.” Labiaplasty is scheduled 3 months after complete external wound healing (or four months after primary vaginoplasty). Safe penetrating sexual activity, as an alternative to periodic stent dilation, is a natural way to maintain the permanency of the result.’
Fee $14,500. Revisions and touch-ups of surgery done here, unrelated to vaginal depth, are typically performed 4 months after primary surgery.
There is no charge for surgery or use of the facility, but the fee for anesthetic services and related materials is $1,000.
