Preparing to transition from male to female | Dr. Harold Reed | The Reed Centre for Transgender Surgery

Another opinion.   Please get involved with a transgender therapist as their will be emotional and adaptational issues that relate lo you, your environment and family.  Next, while 10% of MTF’s are very effeminate in their appearance many are not and need the help of hormone therapy to soften the image and even provide “home gown” breast mass.  Yes, if there is a transgender support group in your community, join.

“Be safe out there”.  That means don’t tease, avoid intimacy without disclosure beforehand, best to keep in the company of those who know and love you.  Careful talking in the rest room if your voice prompts a “double take.”  When possible to have an ID change reflecting your chosen gender, do that.
