The most common reason for MTF vaginoplasty patients to “lose” depth or have their space narrowed, so that it is no longer suitable for coitus, is failure to dilate several times a day. Better than a surgical procedure, it may be possible to start with the narrowest stents and work upwards, usually 1 stent size a week.
