Dear Dr. Reed, Can you offer some financial assistance or grant or be a sponsor for a well deserving patient who wishes to have male to female vaginoplasty?
Dear Laurie, Thank you for allowing me to reprint your letter. Yes, we are very supportive and will do our best to help people like yourself of modest means. Equialy important is you realize that you do need some reserve to cover contingencies and out of pocket expenses such as vaginal dilators, a ring pillow, anti-embolism stockings, bowel prep and a few medications to be taken during the peri-operative period. Yes, you do need to be a safe surgical candidate, meaning good height weight conformation, not overly thin or markedly overweight. Also you will need to stay ideally at the Daddy O hotel which is 1 block from our office (summer rates are inexpensive), and of course there needs to be another woman in the room with you.
Anne our amiable office manager is the brains behind pa and the maker of deals. Call her usually from 9 AM to 3 PM EDT, Monday through Friday. And regardless of whether you think of assistance as a Grant, promotion, sponsorship or simply an act of good faith, we are here to help. Photos of our work can be seen on srsMiami.com
